Eat To Erase Your Wrinkles

Women holding grapesEating to look younger was perhaps popularized by Dr. Perricone in his book “The Wrinkle Cure”. The reason could be that his book gave a different twist to the theory of anti-aging foods and how certain foods, by eating them, can cause cellular inflammation and therefore aging. I have used this and many other basic principles in dieting, and how to properly use healthy ingredients to develop my own skincare products, not yet available. And by observation I can clearly see how certain foods can help you unlock supple, younger looking skin. It is this foundation of good dieting and proper healthy foods that allows for dramatic results in your skincare routine, like facials or at home skin care regime.

These are some foods that can help to turn back the clock and reveal younger looking skin!
Brazil Nuts
The Amazon forest holds some of the most unique plant species in the world. One such specimen is the Brazil nut tree and of course it can’t be found anywhere else in the world.
The Brazil nut is an excellent food for the health of your skin as it is an excellent source of the mineral selenium.
Selenium improves the elasticity of skin, helps to battle skin infections, and is thought to help individuals with acne.
In addition selenium neutralizes free radicals in the body that can lead to the deterioration of collagen and elastin in the skin. And aside from the benefits it gives the skin, selenium is known to improve hair and nails.
Pomegranate Juice, Berries and Citrus Fruits
Pomegranate juice contains anthocyanins that act to strengthen the walls of the tiny blood vessels that supply nutrients to the skin. Therefore, drinking pomegranate juice can help stop the formation of spider veins.
Adding berries such as blueberries and raspberries to your diet can also help in decreasing or preventing spider veins.
Also snacking on citrus fruits like grapefruit, oranges and tangerines, (being careful not to peel the white fibers as they contain bioflavonoids, just like berries), help strengthen blood vessels.
Although not regarded as serious medical problems, these veins cause the skin to have an unhealthy appearance.
Green Tea
Tea is one of the most popular drinks in the world, second only to water. Green tea itself is highly regarded as a valuable drink for your overall health and the health of your skin. Research has proven that it provides a wide range of health benefits, but one critical to the youth of your skin is it’s anti-inflammatory properties.
The anti-inflammatory benefits are key in preventing certain types of skin cancers by reducing the risk of damage caused by the sun’s ultraviolet rays.
Avocados
The avocado has been a beauty secret since the times of the Mayan, Aztec, and Incan royals. They used the avocado in numerous beauty aids such as the rejuvenation of the skin, to help reduce eye puffiness, smooth frizzed hair, and much more.
Avocados are a good source of omega-3 fatty acids, preventing dry skin. This is helpful in keeping your skin plump and youthful. Additionally, they contain both vitamin C and vitamin E, which act well together as a powerful skin anti-aging combination.
The thing to keep in mind is that no one food or food group can have all the nutrients you’ll need, especially in our modern world where stress and pollution can run rampant.
Eating a wide variety of foods will prevent a deficiency and give you the added power to combat the different elements that are just part of life.
